When you select a discipline, your search is limited to that particular termbank.
If a discipline is not selected, the whole TermFinder database is searched for your query.
Use wildcards in the search string:
•the asterisk (*) wildcard searches for a sequence of 0 or more characters in a string; Ex: am*ba finds ameba or amoeba
•the underscore (_) wildcard searches for exactly 1 character in a string; Ex: c_ll finds cell or call
•wildcards can be used for browsing; Ex: c* finds all the words starting with c

plural: blueprints - Definition: a detailed plan or map. The DNA of an organism will determine many of the characteristics of that organism and is therefore often referred to as a genetic blueprint.
- Example:
1. One reason why DNA is the blueprint of life is that it contains a code for the construction of proteins.
2. Each daughter cell must have a full copy of the genetic blueprint.
